American Producer Turned Recording Artist, B.Howard, Lands Duet With “The Japanese Madonna” (Kumi Koda) In New Release “Passing By”
“Passing By” to be the only new featured collaboration on Koda’s 10th Anniversary Release, DEJA VU, in stores March 2nd. B. Howard now set to release his follow up single “Dance Floor” featuring members of recent 3-time Grammy Winners, THE ROOTS.
Up until his album GENESIS debuted in 2010 on 6 Point / Universal Music Japan, the soft spoken B. Howard was exclusively known for his production credits for artists like Ne-Yo, Missy Elliot, Chris Brown, Ginuwine, and Marques Houston. With a solid six months of touring and promotion under his belt, the international recording artist has leaped to the forefront of the Asian Pop Music scene this week with “Passing By,” a duet with superstar KUMI KODA.
Within 24 hours of B. Howard’ first public performance in Tokyo, Japan’s reigning Pop Queen, Kumi Koda, entered Universal Music’s corporate office and requested an immediate sit down with the newcomer to discuss a collaboration. “I was overwhelmed and honored”, said the modest B. Howard.
The product of that initial meeting is “Passing By,” a touching ballad produced and written by B. Howard just for Koda’s 10th Year Anniversary CD, Deja Vu, which releases on March 2nd. The promotional video for “Passing By” is making its way through the World Wide Web as we speak.
Look for B. Howard’s follow up single and promotional video, “Dance Floor,” from his GENESIS album to be released in the ensuing weeks.
